The Bay View Packing Company is a family owned and operated corporation established in 1923. Bay View Packing Company and its employees are dedicated to providing pickled delicacies to discriminating buyers. Their scrumptious foods are produced with skills and Old World traditions passed on through four generations.
Bayview Packing produces pickled eggs, pickled pork hocks, pickled sausages and pickled turkey gizzards under the Bayview label and also under the Lakeside Foods Brand Label. Lakeside and Bayview are the same product so we offer the Bayview label as a compliment to our full Long Lake Foods line of pickled foods. If you previously purchased the Lakeside label products rest assured Bayview is the producer of both the Bayview Brand and the Lakeside Brand of pickled foods. We have chosen to offer the Bayview brand direct from Bayview Packing due to increased freshness and better pricing.
Pickled Meats and Eggs
Pork Feet: We use only long-cut pigs feet, which meanseach foot is meatier and contains a portion of the hock.
Pork Hocks: Our full pork hocks are special ordered. We sort and select only those hocks which meet our high standards, are hand trimmed, final inspected, and packed.
Polish Sausage: Our pickled polish sausage are made with the finest cuts of beef and pork for a perfect blend of flavor with a deep smoked coloring. Our blends of spices and brine enhance the flavor- not too hot, not too mild!
Turkey Gizzards: This oriental delicacy is made with natural Grade A gizzards, pickled in a special brine sauce which enhances the flavor of this meaty product for your dining pleasure.
Pickled Eggs: We use only fresh Grade A Large eggs, hard boiled, peeled, after highly controlled cooking, and processed with our pickling brine. This assures quality for your enjoyment.

Folks have been making and eating pickled foods for centuries. Pickling food was once done out of necessity as modern refrigeration and preservatives were not in existence. There was a need to preservefoods grown on the farm through the non-growing seasons. This helped supplement the foods that were hunted and gathered from the wilderness.
Some of us can remember our parents filling the pantry and cold storage room in the basement with all manner of pickled vegetables, pickled meats and pickled eggs. The younger generations might not have had the pleasurable experience of taste testing mom's pickled asparagus, pickled green beans or pickled pork hocks.
